Joe studied art at the Gray's School of Art, Robert Gordon's University in Aberdeen, followed by Industrial Design Engineering at Napier University in Edinburgh. He has extensive experience as an industrial designer, having worked for a number of small and large private sector companies both in management and on a wide range of innovative product designs. He has successfully run his own business, which won a Design Council Award and a Scottish Designer of the Year Award. Joe has lectured in Industrial Design at Scottish Universities and Art Schools. He worked throughout Scotland for Scottish Enterprise as a Design Councellor.
